Neighborhood Assessment      
1) My neighborhood has no illegal dumpsites
2) Streets, streetlights, sidewalks, and curbs in my neighborhood are well
maintained.
3) My neighborhood has enough street trees and they are well maintained.
4) There are very few abandoned homes and non-maintained vacant lots
in my neighborhood.
5) The public buildings (e.g. schools, churches, community centers) in my
neighborhood employ energy efficiency practices.
6) I'm aware of environmental issues that affect my neighborhood.
7) There is no litter or graffiti in my neighborhood.
8) My neighborhood has easy access to public transportation or other car
pool opportunities.
9) I know the Public Works Division that services my neighborhood.
10) Neighborhood schools and businesses recycle.

Block Assessment      
1) My neighbors properly dispose of the hazardous materials they use in the home (e.g. automotive fluids, oil-based paints).
2) My street has no potholes.
3) I work with my neighbors to maintain street trees on our block.
4) There are no property code violations on my block.
5) My block is free of litter.
6) Storm drains on my block are free of debris; neighbors do not use them to discard trash.
7) When a dispute arises, my neighbors successfully resolve it.
8) Street lights on my block are on timers.
9) My block has an organized community group.

Home Assessment      
1) I participate in the City's recycling program.
2) I am aware of the hazards of lead based paint and if my home was built
before 1978 it has been tested for lead.
3) I use non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning products in my home.
4) I make necessary repairs to the exterior of my home and maintain my yard.
5) I have a rain barrel installed on my property and I use it.
6) I feel comfortable asking for my neighbor's help when I need it.
7) I use compact fluorescent light bulbs in my home.
8) When I purchase new appliances I purchase ones with the Energy Star
label.
9) I look for safe and responsible disposal outlets for materials I no longer
need.
10) I employ energy efficient practices in my home. (e. g. attic insulation,
weather stripping, programmable thermostats)
11) I know the City's guidelines for refuse and recycling collection.
